P90X - Day Two
Today was the second day of P90X for me. I again woke up early and then started on the Plyometrics disc. This is a roughly hour workout of squats, jumps and high heart rate and burning quads. This was much easier for me as cardio and legs are what I am good at these days.
I was still breathing pretty heavy during a couple sections and a couple of the moves were a little tricky at first, but I think I’m all good now.
Afterwards I walked Christopher to school and did an easy 4 mile run at 7:45/M. I didn’t do so well on the diet portion yesterday. A friend of mine is doing a Fried Chicken Crawl trying to find the best friend chicken in town and so I joined him at Popeye’s, which in case you were wondering, isn’t the best chicken in town. I didn’t eat much of the skin so hopefully that helped, but I did have red beans and rice, because *I* am on a quest for the best red beans and rice in Austin outside of my Grandmas.
Then in the afternoon I saw some licorice that had gone nicely stale and not wanting to be tempted later on in the week when i get further into the diet I decided to remove the temptation by eating it. I know, I know, I suck. But I really don’t care about the diet to much. I figure I am going to be adding around 7 hours of working out a week for the duration of this and will still continue to run, so that’s how I justify it to myself, but I know I am cheating. So sue me.
