Hello Fall

Hello Fall, my old friend,
Ive come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of running.
Last night fall made its tentative first steps into Austin. I had struggled on Sunday, running around Central Park in New York City, fighting humidity and just overall feeling horrible. But Monday night when I got off the plane in Austin I was pleasantly surprised to find the temperature had dropped and the humidity was gone. Take that NYC!
The first mile went by in 7:05, and then the next in 7:00, and soon I was moving even faster. I felt like I could have run all night, but I needed to get home and ride bikes with Christopher, so I headed home feeling great, the miles were flying by. I wound up doing an easy 4.5 miles at a overall 6:45/M pace. It didn’t feel like I had worked out at all, I was barely sweating.
Once a year when the seasons change you get a free run, and Monday night was mine. It was so great. I can’t wait until the temperature drops and 15-20 degrees. It’s my favorite time of year to run.

Best post.
Fall is the best.
Thanks for the ear worm!
Love the ear worm comment. Took me 2-3 seconds to figure it out. But now I may steal your phrase.
