Beautiful St. George

St. George looks like my kind of a race. Screaming downhills, low humidity, cool temperatures. Lottery results come out tomorrow. Wish me luck!
I got into this race in 2004 I think, but since Scott didn’t I passed on running it. That was back before we both adopted the “screw you if you can’t make it, I’m going anyway plan”, which has been working surprisingly well for both of us.
So tip back a glass to Scott and I both getting into St. George. If I get in, I think I will actually train for this marathon and go for a PR. It seems custom made for an easy PR.
Anyone who’s done this race let me know if the downhill actually winds up hurting you overall.

I’m looking at the Little Grand Canyon Marathon in Price UT in September - it’s mostly downhill like the St George, but on dirt/gravel roads instead of paved.
