Humidity, I don’t miss you at all.

The last few weeks, it has been very humid in Austin, so when I landed in San Jose, CA for work the cool weather was a welcome relief.

Getting there was little funny, as my 6:40am flight was delayed because the American Airlines crew was “tired”.  Go figure, it’s not even seven in the morning, what did you expect?  I have to get up at 4:30am to make it to the airport in time, and I too was tired.   I can’t imagine telling my boss, that “well I know we had this meeting, but you know I am little tired, so I’ll be 45 mins late so I can grab some sleep.”  It isn’t like the time of the flight magically changed.  They knew when they needed to be in.
I didn’t get to run on Tuesday due to travel and work, but Wednesday morning I got up and hit the road around my hotel and it was so nice.  I was running 7:20/M - 7:30/M with minimal effort, the weather was so cool and with such low humidity I barely broke a sweat.  Sometime I really like California.

Then I remember that they have state income tax, housing is 3X what I pay in Austin, and the commute is horrible.  Go Austin!  But as the summer approaches I will be looking forward to the runs in California.

NOTE: Sadly, I was not running in this location, but the Texas humidity at times reminds me of a rain forest.
