Sickness continues…
I am still very much under the weather, coughing interesting things up, and wishing I wasn’t sick. I haven’t run much at all this week, but have my next marathon on Saturday.
I am currently in Seattle Washington where the weather (like 98% of the time when I am here) is perfectly sunny. Up until yesterday I had actually never seen it rain in Seattle and thought perhaps everyone was over reacting
But I was treated to a very cold rain storm yesterday and I must say I prefer the sunshine.
Normally I’d take the day before a marathon off, but I felt so congested I felt I had to do a “cleaning” run. So I went out in the perfect 40 degree weather and ran down along the pier. I only did 2.5 miles today at a pretty even 7:45/M pace. I can tell I am sick as my heart rate feels about 10-15 beats higher than it should for that effort. But, oh well, the race must go on.
I will be attempting state #38 tomorrow and then flying quickly home for Easter. I’m hoping to meet Larry Macon in person. Larry has run well over 400 marathons and it quite the stud. Hope to see you out there one the course.
