Is it morning already?
I’m still losing my battle with the Ides of March and so when morning came this morning and my wife went to check our son’s temperature to see if he needed to stay home from school, I was secretly hoping he would have a slight fever and that I wouldn’t have to get out of bed and walk him to school. Does this make me a bad parent? Quite possibly. But one benefit of Christopher being sick is that he gets quite cuddly, which is nice.
So the verdict came back from Dr. Mom that our son was indeed sick, and he wouldn’t be going to school and therefore I would not need to get up and take him to school. I breathed a sigh of relief and quickly fell back into my coma-like state. I grabbed an extra two hours of sleep and then got ready to head to work. This means I missed my morning run,but after yesterday’s run, I don’t think I missed it that much. But it calls into question the wisdom of still not starting Ironman training.
Maybe I’ll start in April…
